On Saturday, March 2, party in the 1860s Mardi Gras Tent Event, a heated venue with open bar, live music, & private restrooms.
There will be premium liquor and beer. The 1860s Mardi Gras Tent Event is at the center of it all on the big parade day. We are the oldest Mardi Gras bar in Soulard, with over 35 years of experience in fun!
Enjoy being amongst the revelers in the heart of the celebration at 9th & Geyer, with live music and the authentic1860s Cajun Buffet. The 1860s Mardi Gras tent’s features Silky Sol. You’ll feel like you’re in New Orleans once she starts singing! She performed in their city’s Jazz Festival last year and just completed her second European tour. The 1860s Cajun Buffet includes Red Beans & Rice, Jambalaya, and Jim Beam BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches.
The doors open at 11 a.m. and the party goes until 6 p.m. For just $85 ($75 before 1/25), you will be in the center of the neighborhood party, with a true Mardi Gras experience of live music, Cajun food, premium beverages and private restrooms.

Other popular events during this time include Taste of Soulard on Saturday, February 23 and Sunday, Feb 24. That’s when thousands of the 1860s Famous Crab Cakes, as well as Red Beans & Rice, are served. The Pet Parade, also on the 24th, is a popular family-friendly event. On both days, there is live music in the Saloon 2-6 p.m., as well as at night.
